Yes — Rishton is BB1, and the whole of BB1 is core coverage, door to door. You never drive anywhere or meet the bus: we collect from your front door and bring your dog back to it.

What about Great Harwood and Clayton-le-Moors?

Not yet — BB5 and BB6 are outside the Blackburn & Darwen area for now. Check your postcode on the booking page and join the waiting list if it says no; that list is exactly how new streets get added.

Which days does the bus run in Rishton?

Wednesday afternoons, every week, from 9 September — collected after 12:30, home by 3:30. More days open as routes fill, and booking closes at 8pm the night before each run.

How much does it cost from Rishton?

The same as everywhere the bus runs: £25 per dog all-in — collection from your door, the whole afternoon, photos and drop-off. Distance inside the coverage area never changes the price.

Rishton is the far end of BB1 — the canal towpath, the reservoir and Cutwood Park on the doorstep, and the good walking ground all on the other side of Blackburn. That's exactly what the bus is for. From Wednesday 9 September the Bark Bus collects door-to-door across Rishton, Whitebirk and the east side of town — Little Harwood, Intack, Shadsworth — and does the driving: Witton's 480 acres, the Yellow Hills above Pleasington, Sunnyhurst Wood and Darwen Tower, Roddlesworth's forest, the open moor from Crookfield Road.

An adventure is a whole afternoon, not a loop of the reservoir: a group capped at twelve, six dogs to each qualified walker, matched by temperament before anyone's first trip. No crates — every dog rides harnessed in a pup pod with a window seat — and the live map shows you exactly where the bus is from collection to drop-off.

Blackburn & Darwen is our newest area, so it's Wednesday afternoons to start — collected after 12:30, home by half three, every week — with more days opened as routes fill; the earlier Rishton books, the sooner the east side gets more of them. Photos land in your dashboard the same evening, with a short honest note on how your dog got on.
